Jaitley says BJP may just fall short of majority

New Delhi: The BJP on Sunday hinted that the party may be short of a majority to form a government in Karnataka.
Senior party leader Arun Jaitley said the party may be "a little away from the magical figure of 113" in the 224-member Assembly.
"Based on the latest trends available we may be a little away from the magical figure," he was quoted by news agency PTI as saying.
He also said that he personally had very little role in the victory in Karnataka. "The credit goes to our state unit. I was so pleasantly surprised that seat distribution went on so smoothly," he stated.
He said that Congress won in Goa and Jharkhand and that too by manipulation.
